I am pleased to offer my thoughts about the treatment I received at the Radiation Oncology Center of Memorial Hospital. When you get that first diagnosis of having cancer, most people are full of various emotions, fears, questions, and trepidation. One of the first steps of treatment of this insidious disease, in my case an inoperable brain tumor, is usually radiation. The ROC of Memorial Hospital is staffed with the most wonderfully caring professionals you will ever find. They take whatever time you need for explanations, constantly check on your comfort during treatment and genuinely care about you as the person, not just the radiation site. I came to depend on their expertise and even their friendships as we progressed through the weeks of treatment.

Understanding the needs of their patients and the busyness of the lives that are being treated, they provide close by parking and appointments are run as close to the time arranged as anywhere I have ever been. Everyone from the directing Doctor to the front desk staff will help you through the treatment for this most serious disease.

I have so much respect for what my radiation team was able to do for me and the way in which they went about their business built a trust and relationship that has gone beyond the phase of radiation treatment. I cannot stress enough how the approach of this wonderful group of professionals is able to ease one through this phase. When you couple this with the expert care I received from Dr. Nina Johnson and the most modern of equipment available you have the very best chance of surviving many more days to spend with family and friends.
