Memorial Regional Breast Care Center

Testimonials

Venita

Getting a mammogram can be a very scary thing for many women, especially when there is a concern that there might be a problem. I am a breast cancer survivor and, of all the places in Michiana that I could go for breast care, I choose the Breast Care Center at Memorial Hospital. The staff are kind, caring professionals who have a way of putting your mind and spirit at ease. They’re committed to giving quality care to women from all walks of life. It’s a great place, and I’m grateful that they’re here.

Even though my insurance has changed, I wouldn’t go anywhere else but the Memorial Regional Breast Care Center for my mammogram. All the women there are compassionate and caring. They always make me feel comfortable.

Georgianne

I tell everyone how wonderful and professional the center is. I’m there once a year, yet they make it a point to remember personal information about me, like the fact I have a dog and my husband’s nickname. I try to be as caring and personable in my job as they are to me.

Jacci

I had such a positive experience. Everyone is so friendly and kind. I also appreciated the bonding with all the other women in the waiting area. There’s a real sense of support there. We’re all sisters in the battle against breast cancer.

Coming to the Breast Care Center is like coming home. I feel like a true part of this family. Everyone is caring and comforting. No matter if it is a routine mammogram or you are possibly facing cancer, the whole staff is very supportive. Thank you for being there for me and the many friendships I have come away with. Much love and God bless.

After an ultrasound and diagnostic mammogram, my doctor sent me for a biopsy of my right breast, and thus began my relationship with the staff at the Memorial Regional Breast Care Center. I cannot begin to express the fear I had with news that the results were positive. Nor can I adequately express my thanks for the very knowledgeable and loving care and support provided by the professionals in each of the treatment disciplines at Memorial Hospital. I am especially thankful for the nurses at the Memorial Regional Breast Care Center for being at my side throughout the process. The staff was always available to answer questions and always encouraged me to have a positive attitude. I also appreciated the Personal Care Planner prepared for me. I have been cancer-free for almost three years. When I come for my annual checkups, it is like returning to a family I have not seen for awhile. I am here today and in good health in large part because of the loving care they provided.

John (husband)

At our first visit to the Memorial Regional Breast Care Center, we were both scared and wondering where we could find the best of care. I felt we would probably have to go to a large medical center to find the kind of expertise we wanted. We were surprised to find the outstanding care offered by Memorial Hospital, right here in South Bend. Our first visit to the Breast Care Center, and every one after that, reinforced our confidence in the continuum of care for my wife. The Personal Care Planner became our bible. The hugs and reassurances kept us going. The nurses’ patience with our never-ending questions and their thoughtful answers helped to build our optimism for overcoming this challenge. Today, when I accompany my wife for her annual mammogram, it feels like we are going to visit old friends. I cannot thank them enough for helping us through the challenges my wife faced.
