Nurse Navigator

Memorial Regional Breast Care Center (MRBCC) is unique in the Michiana area to have nurses with backgrounds in oncology to help women navigate through their diagnosis of  breast cancer. The MRBCC nurse is available to talk with patients and their families in person or by phone about their personal diagnosis and what the next steps will be for the patients.  The nurse navigator provides each newly diagnosed patient at Memorial Hospital an individualized Personal Care Planner Notebook. The nurse will follow up with patients as they go through their surgeries and treatments providing them with educational information and emotional support.
