Teresa Dobrzykowski, a South Bend resident and IUSB Assistant Professor of Nursing, underwent a hysterectomy. She conducted vast research about the da Vinci in advance to determine if it was the best surgical approach for her.

Teresa, a wife and mother, stayed only one night at Memorial Hospital. She experienced minimal pain associated with the surgery; and just two weeks after this major surgery, Teresa was back to work as a college professor.
