What We Do

Patients at Memorial's Wound Care Services receive state-of-the-art treatment from physical therapists trained and certified in the care of open wounds caused by trauma, circulation problems, infection, burns, diabetes, surgical complications, pressure sores and other situations.

Meet Our Team

Bartholomew

Starley Bartholomew, PT, CWS, DWC

Starley has been employed by Memorial Hospital approximately 10 years. She worked at area hospitals, ECFs, private practices, and home care prior to Memorial. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from Texas Women’s University in 1982. She became a certified wound specialist (CWS) in 2005. She became diabetic wound certified (DWC) in October 2012.

Starley enjoys running and downhill snow skiing, and loves to travel and enjoys her dogs.

Copeland

Christine Copeland, PT, CWS

Christine graduated from Central Michigan University in 2000 with her Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. She has been employed by Memorial Hospital since 2002 and has worked as a physical therapist in acute care, inpatient rehab and wound care. She became a certified wound specialist in 2008, and works in Memorial’s outpatient wound care clinic.

Christine enjoys fishing, storm chasing and traveling.

Gundeck

Evelina Gundeck, DPT

Evelina received her undergraduate degree in kinesiology with a minor in psychology at Indiana University, Bloomington, then went to graduate school at Indiana University, Indianapolis and received a doctorate degree in physical therapy. Evelina works in the acute-care setting with a special interest in wound care.

Evelina enjoys spending time with friends and family and traveling.

Pollock

Leslie Pollock, DPT

Leslie received her Bachelor Degree in Human Biology from the University of Indianapolis in 2008. She received her Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from Midwestern University in 2011. She has worked at Memorial Hospital since July 2011 doing a mix of wound care and acute-care mobility. Leslie has a goal of becoming a certified wound specialist.

Leslie enjoys water sports, riding her bicycle, traveling and walking her dog Cali.

Snyder

Angel Snyder, PT, CWS

Angel graduated from Andrews University in 1996 with a Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. She has been employed by Memorial Hospital since 2003. She became a certified wound care specialist in 2005 and currently works in Memorial's outpatient wound care clinic.

Angel enjoys scrapbooking, loves dogs and stays busy with her four boys and their sports and activities.

Our wound care specialists evaluate each patient’s individual needs, provide personalized consultation and discuss multiple treatment options to optimize healing, including:

  • Dressing selection and application
  • Edema control/compression therapy
  • Electrical stimulation
  • Negative-pressure wound therapy
  • Patient and caregiver education
  • Pulsatile irrigation
  • Total contact casting
  • Ultrasound therapy

Our new, state-of-the-art facility on the first floor of Memorial Hospital offers greater patient convenience, spacious treatment areas, cutting-edge equipment and quicker access to vascular services if necessary.

Hours of Operation

Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday by appointment.
