HealthWorks! Kids’ Museum will partner with Whole Foods Market’s “Whole Kids Club” for a special event aimed at promoting healthy eating and fitness for children. It will take place May 19 from noon to 4 p.m. at the new Whole Foods Market in Mishawaka.

A new website and dashboard with data from the 2013 St. Joseph County Community Health Needs Assessment Survey will be made available on Thursday, May 16 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Pfeil Innovation Center, 420 N. Niles Avenue. 

Mark Wellman, who made history as the first paraplegic to ascend the 3,000-foot El Capitan and Half Dome at Yosemite National Park, will offer a free presentation on Thursday, May 9 from noon to 1 p.m. at Memorial Hospital's auditorium. This event is free and open to the public.

Join us on Sunday, May 19, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside Coveleski Stadium in South Bend for the 2013 Saving Lives Safety Fair. People of all ages are encouraged to learn more about what they can do to prevent injury at home, outdoors and in their vehicle.

Register today for the 2013 Sunburst Races on Saturday, June 1 in downtown South Bend. The Sunburst Races include a 5K fitness walk, 5K and 10K run, half marathon and marathon. Memorial Children's Hospital is pleased to offer free, first-come, first-served car seat safety checks on Tuesday May 7, 1 to 3 p.m. at South Bend Central Fire Station; and Saturday May 18, 9 a.m. to noon at Martin's Supermarket at 4401 Western Ave.  No appointment is required.
