Safe & Fit Summer Fair at UP Mall: Free Bike Helmets and Reflective Backpacks
The Safe & Fit Summer Health Fair will take place in the University Park Mall’s Center Court in Mishawaka on Saturday, July 16 from 1-3 p.m. The fair, part of the Simon Kidgits program and sponsored by Memorial Hospital, is free and open to the public. The fair aims to teach children and parents how to be healthy and safe during summer weather and break.
Memorial Regional Rehabilitation Center will be offering free bike helmet fittings and bike helmets for the first 150 who attend. For those who already have helmets, free reflective backpacks will be available (minimum age limit applies to backpacks).
Dr. Daniel Kinney from Memorial Navarre Pediatrics will be present to answer safety and injury questions, and Memorial Health Discovery Center will also be present, providing health information.
Kids will have fun, along with learning safety: Memorial HealthWorks! Kids’ Museum will also participate in the afternoon’s festivities.
Parents don’t go home empty-handed either, they can take home a free MedPoint24 bandage kit.
