Memorial Hospital Seeks Nominations for Spirit of Women Awards
Memorial Hospital is accepting nominations for the regional Spirit of Women® Awards. This awards program honors ordinary women who do extraordinary and selfless things to benefit their communities.
Memorial will select three people who perform extraordinary acts of service in the community as the 2012 Spirit of Women Regional Award recipients. All Spirit of Women Award winners will be recognized on stage on Saturday, March 3 at the 2012 Expo for Women taking place at the Century Center.
Memorial will select one regional winner in each of three categories: Young Person Role Model, 14 – 20 years of age; Community Hero, age 21 and over; and Healthcare Hero, a clinical professional at Memorial Health System. Winners are chosen based on the contributions they have made in the areas of work, family and health; and on the impact they have had in their community and on the lives of others. Regional winners will also be candidates for the National Spirit of Women Awards.
Last year’s Young Person Role Model winner, Hannah Montgomery, was a national winner, and was flown to Phoenix, Arizona to be presented with her award!
Nominations are due no later than Friday, Jan. 13, 2012. Nominations may be submitted online at www.qualityoflife.org/sow/nomination or by mail to Misti Coussens, Memorial Hospital, 615 N.
