Gerontology Consortium of Michiana to host “Last Will & Embezzlement” Indiana premiere

SOUTH BEND – The Gerontology Consortium of Michiana will host the Indiana premiere of the newly released documentary “Last Will & Embezzlement.” The film premiere takes place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the O’Laughlin Auditorium on the Saint Mary’s College campus.

This free-admission event will be open to the public to raise awareness of financial exploitation of our elderly. The film was inspired by true-life events in the family of producer Pamela S.K Glasner. It stars Hollywood icon Mickey Rooney who was a victim of abuse. The Consortium hopes that this documentary will shine a light on the pervasive problem of financial exploitation, and will help those who have potentially-vulnerable adults in their lives to be on the look-out for signs of victimization. Those who attend this film event will be educated, challenged and inspired to action.

Several special guests will lead a discussion following the film, including the film’s writer and producer, Pamela S.K. Glasner; May 31st GCM conference keynote speaker, Paul Greenwood, Head of Elder Abuse Prosecutions in San Diego County; and Erica Costello, Director of Adult Protective Services in St. Joseph County.
