Mid-morning on November 19, 2009 Nutritional Services received a call: a patient on 10 South had just been married. As soon as they received the joyful news, the team jumped to action: a small wedding cake, fresh flowers, framed picture with their names and date, VIP dinner, and long stemmed glasses for a toast.

Once all was assembled to the team’s satisfaction, they rolled the white linen-draped tables into the patient’s room. The newlyweds were speechless, deeply touched by the Team Members’ thoughtfulness and hard work. With glasses of punch in hand, they shared a toast and then left the couple to cut their wedding cake.
