Family Medicine Center
E. Blair Warner Family Medicine Center
As a resident at Memorial, the E. Blair Warner Family Medicine Center will be the base for your ambulatory patient care continuity experience. This busy practice is home for both resident and faculty physicians. We are conveniently located directly across the street from Memorial Hospital.
The Center has 18 examination rooms, a surgical procedure room, an acute medical treatment room, a resident working area, library/staffing area, a patient education room and a large conference room. Our clinic population is diverse across medical conditions, ages, gender and ethnicity and includes large pediatric and obstetrical panels. We continually strive to incorporate preventive medicine into our patient care, and we use a fully integrated electronic health record system.
Two family medicine physicians, either faculty or community preceptors, staff each clinic session and are readily available to discuss patient care and to teach and supervise office procedures. Your obstetrics and gynecology education and experience are supplemented by the availability of OB preceptors several times per week in our clinic. Our Behavioral Science Director in the clinic supports the development of strong patient-physician relations and communication.
Group visits for both pregnant and diabetic patients are offered at the clinic, providing opportunities for improved patient education and instruction. These visits are based on the centering concept that integrates health assessment, education and support. A team of health care providers including physicians (including residents), nurses, counselors, social workers, dietitians and others worked together to provide services for these groups.
