Memorial Hospital is proud to partner with Indiana Mother’s Milk Bank, Inc. (IMMB) to provide the option of milk banking to our community. In 2005, IMMB was established to improve health outcomes for premature and sick infants, foster better health for Indiana’s children and decrease health care expenditures. The milk bank receives human milk from carefully screened donors, pasteurizes, freezes and distributes it throughout Indiana and the Midwest. IMMB is a non-profit, community-supported entity that benefits infants and children across the Midwest and is the first and only of its kind in Indiana. Memorial Hospital’s Mother’s Own Milk Project helps with the qualifying of new donors and shipping of milk from our area to Indianapolis.
If you are interested in donating milk or want more information about milk banking, please contact IMMB.
