Finding the Real Value of Money

Drawing from an interview with Lynne Twist published in the collection of essays entitled “The Soul of Money,” Rose Meissner will lead a discussion on the nature of money and how it can be used as a powerful force, in big ways and small, to express who we are and our values.

Facilitated by Rose Meissner, President and CEO of the Community Foundation of St. Joseph County in South Bend, Indiana. She joined the Foundation when it was established in 1992. With current assets of about $130 million, the Community Foundation of St. Joseph County is one of the largest of 94 community foundations in the state and in the top 100 nationally. Rose holds an MBA from Indiana University, Bloomington and two degrees from Notre Dame, including a Masters in English Literature and a B.A. in economics. Key initiatives during her tenure with the foundation have focused on nonprofit excellence, early childhood and public education, community development, diversity, the arts and senior issues.
