Computer and Internet Cognitive Games
Most cognitive games are interactive computer programs that give your brain a workout. They are working out key areas of your brain functioning which include memory, language, attention span, impulse control, speed of processing, and spatial perception. Cognitive games can be an important part of your brain healthy lifestyle. It is important to recognize that not all cognitive training games have published research behind their design and success.
The BrainWorks team members have tried each of the cognitive training programs listed below. We have developed relationships with these companies and have looked into the science and philosophy behind their programs. We recommend you find the one that you enjoy the most. It is the commitment to use these regularly that makes them work. In each case possible, we have negotiated a discount for you to either subscribe or purchase at a special BrainWorks price and encourage you to call us to explore pricing and which one may be right for you.
If you would prefer to work out in a brain gym more like a regular gym, BrainWorks is pleased to announce that its Brain Gym will be open soon. Mind Games, will be a brain gym at which you have access to several of the cognitive training programs in locations. Try them all, workout with others.
In Art Dealer, you play the role of an art collector who has partnered with a rich financier to build a world-class art gallery. The game consists of 30 rounds, each of which sends you to a private art sale where you attempt to buy original paintings while avoiding the many forgeries that are also being offered. After each sale, you must manage your emerging gallery as well as your finances. Along the way, you get to learn about and view works by some of the world's most renowned artists including Rembrandt, Vermeer, Monet, and Van Gogh. If you play the game again, you have an additional 30 rounds and the originals and forgeries change a bit.
$16.99 plus $3.00 for shipping and handling
Stay tuned for more information and additional discounts for other cognitive programs.
