Dr. R. Gregory Credi, MD - Surgeon Dr. Credi is a board-certified general and vascular surgeon with extensive gastrointestinal surgical and laparascopic skills. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign) and of the University of Illinois College of Medicine. His special interests are bariatrics and breast surgeries. In his free time he enjoys golf, basketball, and spending time with his wife and four children. |

Taran Conyers, RN, BSN, CBN - Practice Manager Taran is a Registered Nurse, Certified Bariatric Nurse and Bariatric Practice Manager with the Memorial Weight Loss and Bariatric Surgery Center as well as a post-op RNY gastric bypass patient. She received a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Saint Mary's College in 1997 and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing in 1999. After nursing school, she worked as a pediatric nurse at Elkhart General Hospital. She is also a freelance graphic designer for several large scrapbooking companies, a mother of twins, and a mother of a newfoundland dog. She enjoys Notre Dame football, decorating, crochet, and gardening. |

Julie Lovisa, RD, CD - Clinical Dietitian Julie is a bariatric Registered Dietitian and has been with our clinic since we opened our doors in 2004. She is a local and state-wide educator in the field of weight loss surgery and has published articles for the American Dietetic Association and Obesity Help Magazine. Julie was the president of the Northern Indiana Dietetic Association for 2007-2008 and is a volunteer for INShape Indiana "Ask the Dietitian." Julie provides nutritional education and management of all preoperative and postoperative needs. She believes that nutritional needs and eating habits are personal and will work individually with you to design a pattern that fits your individual needs. |

Greg Bennett, M.S., CSCS, RCEP - Exercise Physiologist Greg Bennett graduated from Michigan State University with a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology and has been employed at the Health & Lifestyle Center for the past 23 years. He currently is the Clinical Integration & Community Health Coordinator. Greg is professionally certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer, and by the American College of Sports Medicine as a Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist. He is a member of the IDEA Health and Fitness Associaton's International Personal Trainer Committee, is recognized as an IDEA Master Personal fitness trainer, and is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Greg assists clients in achieving their goals of improving strength, flexibility, and endurance by designing safe and effective fitness programs. He specializes in sports-specific custom exercise program design and implementation and working with special populations including cardiac rehabilitation patients, as well as patients with neuromuscular disorders, and musculoskeletal and immunologic conditions. |

Yvette Wilson, B.S. - Exercise Physiologist Yvette went to Florida Atlantic University in south Florida (Boca Raton) She has a BS in Exercise Physiology. Yvette has been working at Memorials Outpatient Therapy Services MOTS, in orthopedic patient care and marketing for the past 12 yrs. She has 3 children, Nicholas 8, Marissa 6, and Paige 3 who bring her great joy! They love the beach, bike riding, picnics in the park and playing in the yard! Yvette also loves to cook and the kids love to help! |

Laura Bourdon, CMA (AAMA) Laura Bourdon is a certified medical assistant with Memorial Weight Loss and Baratric Surgery Center as well as Memorial Medical Group in family practice. She received her honors degree from Ivy Tech State College in 2005 and is nationally certified through the American Association of Medical Assistants. When Laura has free time she enjoys spending it with her husband and daughters, along with reading, crocheting and cross-stitching. |

Andrew McAfee, M.D. Dr. McAfee is Medical Director of the Memorial Weight Loss and Bariatric Surgery Center. He received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program. He also received an MBA from the Kelley School of Business in Bloomington, IN. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and has received numerous academic scholarships. In his spare time, he enjoys sports, movies and walking his dog Kalia. |

Mick Warner, Ph.D. Dr. Warner provides pre-operative and post-surgical bariatric care and has been a member of the Memorial Hospital Weight Loss and Bariatric Surgery team since its inception in 2004. He conducts bariatric surgery readiness assessments for this and other bariatric centers. He receives referred patients and families who may benefit from attention to specific personal issues prior to surgery as well as post-operative adjustment issues. Together with the team dietitian he also co-facilitates a medically supervised weight loss group at the center. Dr. Warner is an Associate Member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. Dr. Warner is a trained and licensed marriage and family therapist and is a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and the Indiana Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. |

Suellen Firtl Suellen joined the Bariatrics team as Office Coordinator in March 2009. She has been married for 31 years to a South Bend firefighter and has two children, Sarah and Alex. Suellen enjoys spending time with her family, reading and cooking. |
