Memorial Children’s Hospital is proud to announce the arrival of the region’s only Pediatric Gastroenterologist, Wahaj Mustafa Zaidi, M.D. He will practice at Memorial Children’s Hospital’s Pediatric Specialties clinic, which also includes physicians specializing in: pediatric neurology, pediatric endocrinology, behavioral and developmental pediatrics, and pediatric pulmonology, infectious disease and sleep medicine.

- FREE Head & Neck Cancer Screening

More than 52,000 men and women in the U.S. were expected to be diagnosed with head and neck cancers in 2011, according to the National Cancer Institute. Early detection is when treatment is most successful. To help find cancers as early as possible, Memorial Regional Cancer Center and Memorial’s Health Discovery Center will offer a free head and neck cancer screening.

Steven Rose has been named Director of Nutritional Services for Memorial Hospital of South Bend. Steven holds a B.A. in Business/Organizational Management from Bethel College and has extended studies in culinary preparation, sanitation, leadership, and nutrition from respected programs around the country. Steven most recently served on staff at Indiana University at South Bend and the University of Notre Dame.
